Among the many talents held by second year Duquesne University graduate student, Mercedes Oliver, is that of videographer and photographer. As a sports enthusiast and athlete she takes her skillsĀ and her passion to her internship at the American Professional Soccer Team the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

Oliver has decided to share some of her work with Duquesne Media Now in recognition of the amazing skill sets she has developed during her time at the university. Her opportunity to work with the team as been, in her words, an experience. “Working with a professional soccer team is unpredictable but Duquesne’s professional networking with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds organization has allowed me to take a step into this exciting role,” says Oliver. “I take on a variety of roles for the team not only as a videographer but as a photographer and a motion graphics artist. In these roles I am able to utilize the skills I have learned during my time in the Media Department at Duquesne University.”

The images captured by Oliver exemplify the electricity and excitement of one of the most beloved sports in the world.
