Duquesne Media graduate student creates video on Independent Study course

By Jacques Hinkson-Compton, second year graduate student in the Digital Media Arts concentration programĀ

Ahmed Alharbi, second year graduate student in the Digital Media Arts concentration, produced a short video on the department’s Independent Study course for the Media Lab course taught by Professor Healy. The Independent Study course provides an opportunity to study, in depth, a subject matter that is not taught in another class. You must have a project, a mentor and must fill out an independent study contract prior to registering. The course requires each student to meet regularly with their mentor throughout the semester.

Dr. Zeynep Tanes-Ehle is the contact professor for the course and noted that Independent Study is a “great way for students to work on a project that really interests them, that allows the students to get the most out of what they want to know.” The course is offered during the fall and spring semesters.
