Duquesne Media Student Produces Video on Katsucon

By Julie Pawlikowski, second year graduate student in the Media Management program

Media student Katie Lee produced a feature story video on Katsucon, an annual three-day anime convention held during February at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. The video was an assignment in the Video News Gathering and Field Production course taught by adjunct professor and Duquesne Media alumnus Randall Coleman.

Video News Gathering and Field Production introduces electronic news gathering and electronic field production as remote location video production techniques. It covers pre-production planning and design, on-location production, and post-production editing. There is also the examination of the process and equipment used by videographers and visual storytellers. On location lighting and sound are covered along with field production techniques.
