Student organizations and clubs help make college more fun and bearable and provide great opportunities for students to advance their careers. You’ll make friends and many memories within your chosen club or organization and you’ll learn skills such as time management, organization, event planning, team building, interpersonal skills and beyond. You’ll be connected with a network of colleagues and alumni that can provide avenues post-graduation and you can diversify and beef up a resume with the work you do in your club or organization.

For Media students, there are a number of clubs you can join that are specific to your major. They are:

  • The Duquesne Duke, the university newspaper
  • Duquesne Student Television
  • Duquesne Student Radio
  • The Society of Professional Journalists
  • The D.U. Quark, the university’s student run science journal
  • :lexicon, the university’s journal of arts and literature
  • L’Espirt du Duc, the university yearbook

These clubs and organizations will be holding an Open House today, March 22 at 7:00 pm in College Hall 113, the office of the Duquesne Duke. It’s open to all students from any major and year. There will be food and the opportunity to learn about these clubs and how to join. Don’t miss this opportunity!
