Duquesne University media graduate student creates video on Photography I

Yuan Zhuang, graduate student at Duquesne University’s Media department recently produced a brief video on the photography I course. The course is instructed by James Vota, an instructor with several years of experience in the field of visual communication. The course is aimed at photographers who wish to take control of Digital image making and with basic photo skills interested in mastering digital imaging.  Students make use of digital cameras and computer software to create original works of art. Students of the course are introduced to digital imaging technology (cameras and editing software),  photo composition and lighting, and  printing and electronic distribution. The course  encourages you to shoot RAW images and seeks to enhance your Digital workflow system using popular software and digital imaging techniques. Previous experience with Photoshop or other digital image manipulation tools is required. Students are encouraged to develop various forms of composition such as photography for science, art or publication.
